Home from Homes: The Fairy Cottage

Hannah Jackson

Home from Homes: The Fairy Cottage takes inspiration from the vernacular Tiree Black House of Scotland’s Inner Hebrides. Constructed from shells and sand collected during many holidays to the Isle of Tiree, the cottage examines how material traces embody memory and belonging. These homes for molluscs playfully extend their cycles of habitation, reflecting the evolving definitions of home.
