The 'What home means to me' theme immediately conjured up an image of the entry to my house, piled with shoes strewn next to - but not on - the shoe rack, and so I was trying to honour that imagery with this sculpture. It represents a chaos and noise of our everyday life, and that relaxed feeling you get when you cross the threshold to shed your outer layers, and relax into the comfort of home.
